As a Resident Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration and service of customer's weighing equipment. Technicians will be working on both mechanical and electronic scales. We are looking for someone that has a strong desire to learn a trade and willingness to be part of a team that exceeds our customers' expectations. We will provide basic and ongoing training; furnish a company vehicle and all the necessary equipment for the job.
o Installation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of industrial weighing and measuring equipment
o Complete service documents and test reports for review with customers and submission to Customer Support Center
o Provide consultation and quotations on product and services
o Participate in the marketing and sales effort of the Customer Support Center to expand service revenues
o Compliance with all Fairbanks policies, along with OSHA, MSHA, DOT regulations and all other laws governing the workplace
o Must have or be able to obtain Class B CDL
o Minimum 1 year Field Repair and/or Industrial Maintenance Experience
o Working knowledge of colt ohm meter
o Must be able to lift/maneuver 50+ lbs.
o Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance and electronics with ability to work outdoors for long periods
o Basic knowledge of computers and software o Understanding serial outputs / networking would be a plus
o Travel out of town for training and overnight assignments within designated territory
o Must be able to pass State test for Service Agent
o Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screen and criminal background check o Must be willing to work overtime (nights/weekends) as required to satisfy customer needs

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
