Physician-Hospitalist
Hospitalist job in Mt.
Vernon, IL Two person Hospitalist group adding 1-2 more members.
Rotation 5 on, 9 off.
Would work Thursday-Monday.
This rotation allows for Tuesday / Wednesday coverage by other physicians.
Shifts are 24 hours - round in general 8am-5pm, then on-call for the rest of the shift.
Come in as needed.
ICU admits require them to come in sooner.
Volume currently is averaging between 14-16 visits per day.
If census hits 20, additional hospitalists will be brought in.
Looking for candidate comfortable with some critical care, like vent management, central lines, basic ICU care.
The contracted rate is $1,450 per 24 hours shift plus a $150/shift bonus if physician meets performance measures which are easily reachable (core measures, patient satisfaction, callbacks).
Essentially $1,600 / 24 hour shift.
Generally physician will be working 8-10 hour days plus call.
